Canadian Lynx captured in eastern Huron County Sunday - pics and video

A Canadian Lynx was captured Sunday morning in eastern Huron County, and will be relocated by the DNR to another part of the state. Members of the Charleston Road Deer Camp participated in helping the DNR in the trapping and capture of the approxmately 30 pound female Lynx near the end of Atwater Road, near the shoreline. They were helping the DNR track the animal, which may have been responsible for killing geese in the area. They believe there may still be a larger male in the area, and will continue to set capture traps for that animal. They are considered an endangered species and are under Federal protection.
