Officials from Agrivalley Services were on hand Wednesday morning as the firm signed on a new WiFi hot spot at the Pigeon Recreation Park. CEO Ed Eichler said that this was a partnership with CoBank and that they will do the same thing in Sandusky Thursday at two of their parks. One will be with the help of Co-Bank and the other in partnership with Sandusky itself. The system in place, according to Richard Kuhn Media Specialist at Agrivalley has transmitters on the band shell, pavilion and the main one on the concession stand. It will cover the park area, and ball diamonds along with part of the walking trail with service of up to 25 MBs. There will be safety protocols to prevent abuse of the Wi-Fi access and will give the community access they would not have had before. There is no Wi-Fi password needed to gain access.
