Laker School Board Meeting provided information and updates- Video

The February Laker school board meeting was brief, but it was not short on updates provided for the Laker community.
The 2020 Spring Athletics coaches were approved, most notably Jeff Talaski takes over as the JV Baseball coach after experience as the Varsity Assistant coach.
Also, Superintendent Brian Keim provided updates about different district and regional competitions that took place, most notably for the One Act team (who did not qualify for states), FFA, and Powerlifting (which five powerlifters reached states).
The Board report, which is pictured, provided a recap of two Chinese Exchange Teachers that spent some time at the school, which their time unfortunately was cut short by Coronavirus flight restrictions set by the Chinese Government.
One final topic of discussion was the hours of operation for the Legacy Center, which is being built, as well as surveilance for the center, which will be discussed at future meetings.
The next Laker School Board Meeting will take place March 16th at 6PM at Laker High School.
