The 2020 Jeep Gladiator, driven by actor-commedian Bill Murray in the Superbowl ad earlier this month, has a real local connection. Superbowl commercials have a high level of anticipation for the viewers and a lot goes into their production. The vehicle in the television commercial that Murray drives around, at times with the stand-in for Punxutawney Phil in a update to his movie Groundhog Day, came from the lot at Moore Motors of Caro. The Superbowl this year was on on Groundhog Day. Denny King, Internet Sales Manager at Moore Motors told us that there were two vehicles unsed in the commercial, the difference you will see is theirs had a spray liner in it. The production company only told them it would be used in a commerical, but didn't know about it being a SuperBowl ad. It really was a last minute production as Murray had agreed to the commerical if it stayed true to the movie. They did a search for the vehicle and it was taken January 16th. Moore Motors has the vehicle back, and King said they did find a couple of groundhog hairs in it. Its on the lot if anyone wants a vehicle driven by a celebrity, with a groundhog that rode shotgun. The video on YouTube of the commercial can be viewed in the written story on Thumb net dot net.
