The Huron County Planning Commission held a meeting Wednesday evening to continue drafting an ordinance on Solar Panels installed on farmland.
The meeting, which lasted roughly two hours, debated issues such as land maintenance, livestock affected in the area, as well as ordinances drafted by other counties.
A vote was held on the setback distance of the proposed panels from the road to the proposed facility's fence. The vote was resolved to the setback being a mininum of 90 feet from the road right-of-way to the facility's fence.
The next meeting, where commissioners will continue to draft the ordinance, will be held Wednesday, February 5th at 7 PM.
