A new member was sworn into the Bad Axe Public Schools Board of Education. Congratulations to Zac Eskau who was administered the Oath of Office at Monday evening's meeting. The boys' soccer team and coach attended the Bad Axe School board meeting to be congratulated and share their great season of their first district championship since 2012, and two players made it to all state. Also at the board meeting a motion was approved for Bad Axe High School to register as a member in the Clay Shooting League. Fox Hunters and Thumbs Sportsman offered to help in regards to man power, facilities, and finances, but students have to supply and be responsible for their own firearm and will need to sign an insurance form. Students and staff will be trained in a hunter's safety class, and the Clay Pigeon Club is in hopes to begin in March. It was made clear at the Bad Axe School Board meeting that weapons will never be allowed on campus.
