Bad Axe High School is looking into starting a Clay Pigeon Club this upcoming spring of 2019. The new club was approved at the Bad Axe High School Board meeting, after Principal Kurt Dennis presented research of student's interest being in the high 20's. Clay Pigeon shooting is a Michigan club high schools can participate in and qualify for statewide competitions, and other schools in the county have already started a Clay Pigeon Club. Principal Dennis says he is going to meet with the representative that set up the Harbor Beach team, and discuss terms like who owns the guns, how do they get them, who stores the guns, and what's the legality of the transportation.
