A Proclamation has been made for October to be Domestic Violence Awareness Month. President Lori Swartzendruber and Operations Managers MJ Story from the Huron County Safe Place held a Domestic Violence Candlelight Vigil Tuesday evening outside of the Huron County Courthouse. Public Safety Commissioner John Bodis proclaimed October 2018 as Domestic Violence Awareness Month in Huron County. Therefore making Domestic Violence Awareness Month an opportunity to take a stand with survivors and celebrate the progress made combating these crimes and to recommit to reducing domestic violence in our County. Pastor Mike Beeler of Faith Gospel recited a prayer and Sgt. Knoblock delivered a speech, followed with beautiful guitar playing and singing by Susan and Raymond Bugg.
