The Heart of this latest dispute between the Prosecutor and Sheriff of Huron County is that after the Huron County Probate Judge, District Judge, and Circuit Judge "recused" themselves of this case and the trial went to Sanilac County Circuit Court Judge Donald Teeple, Sheriff Hanson felt the Huron County Prosecutor should have also "recused" himself. However, The Prosecutor did not "recuse" himself and continued to prosecute this case.
