Bad Axe Cat Capture Meeting Held Monday at City Hall (Video)

Sanilac County Humane Society offered an informational meeting to the citizens of Bad Axe to discuss the process of a " feral cat capture" taking place August 15th to 19th throughout the west end of the city.
This effort to capture the large amounts of stray cats in Bad Axe is on behalf of the Sanilac County Humane Society and Michigan State University Veterinary Medicine program.
Together they plan to utilize live traps in the areas of West Butler Street and South Street as well as the Huron County Fairgrounds
Volunteers will be out from August 15th to 19th from roughly 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. luring cats with food and cages. Once caught they will be transferred to a sterile facility set at the fairgrounds.
This is free to the city with the help of MSU. Volunteers or anyone with questions may contact Bad Axe City Hall or Sanilac Humane Society at 810-657-8962.
