First Friday Art Walk provides numerous locals artists with the oppotunity to meet, greet and be one with art on the streets of Port Austin as was the case Friday evening.
The free event offers the public and local businesses a chance to view the work of various people all with many different stories.
William "Bill" Meyer, the previous CEO of Huron Medical Center, currently is painting a pieced inspired by the oh-so recent storm that swept the lake earlier this week.
Marilyn Biefer, serving council member in Cass City, is a former art teacher of forty years in Kingston. She now spends time experimenting with water colors and watercolor silk scarfs and ponchos.
Whose to forget Port Austin Kayaks resident artist, Terry Boyle, a practiced attorney from Birmingham whose son Chris, asked him to work on a piece quite literally attached to the restaraunt.
Other artists included; Karen Mayes, Rich Yaroch, Dave Thuemmel, Drew Deming, Donna McCatty, and Cathy Phaneuf.
This First Friday will not be the last. September'f first Friday will be the last chance of the summer to tour local businesses and artists in Port Austin.
