The proposed budget for the following 2018-2019 school year suggested a total revenue of $9,926,300 with a total of expenditures showing $9,926,300.A fund balance of $1,541,914.24 was left for the new school year.This was also adopted and approved by the board. Klosowksi stated that the district was "financially sound."
The Food Service budget was also discussed as an addition to the budget as expenditures in the next school year will be more for the next school year.
In other business, Kathy Dickens, Laker Elementary Principal received another USDA Farm to School grant for $100,000 which will be utilized by hiring more kitchen staff to prepare and freeze the fresh foods with the help of current Farm to School Coordinator, Cinnamon Marker.
Scott Micklovic,of the Administration, advised they have posted a job position for a 20-hour per week tech staff member, and also has purchased some drones to be used by teaching staff.
Steve Verburg, Athletic Director, introduced the new Varsity Volleyball Coach Renee Ricky, Girls JV Basektball Coach Justin "Jay" Dubs and JV Volleyball recomendation, Taylor Breault to the board. All were approved to join the coaching staff.
Principal John Good mentioned the donation of a new AED system for the school.
