Pigeon's annual wing fling taste testing contest was held late last week at the newly renovated VFW Hall in Pigeon. There were eight recipes were in contention this year. The winner's recipe will be featured for the public to taste during the Summer Fest, July 19th through the 22nd. The eight wings in competition were: Century Oaks, Thumb Area Road Testing, Blue Water Inn, Pigeon Family Market, Pigeon Inn, and Scheurer Healthcare Network. Taking first place for a second year in a row was Ron Bergman from Pigeon IGA - this year his recipe was "Louisiana Simmer". Second place went to Century Oaks Jessica McBride with the recipe: "Raspberry Bourbon". These recipes will be featured at the Summer Fest event in Pigeon July 19th - July 22nd, 2018.
