The Bad Axe McDonalds Restaurant had a ribbon cutting for their recently remodeled restaurant and as part of the event awarded a 1 thousand dollar check to the Bad Axe Robotics Program. Franchise owner Jim Luth told us that Bad Axe is the 24th in the state out of 530 restaurants to be remodeled with the "Experience The Future" theme. Inside there are two kiosks that allow you to order from a touch screen, or you can go to the counter in the traditional manner. The touch screens can be a way to get your order in if you come at a time when lines are long. Luth said he had completely rebuilt the store about 9 years ago and at that time gave back to the community with a check to the Bad Axe Schools Band Program. This time the benefactor was the Bad Axe Robotics Program. Officials from the owners other restaurants in Cass City, Caro and Sebewaing were also in attendance, along with some corporate officials. The work was originally scheduled for the Spring of 2018 but they company asked if they were interested in moving it up.
