A 3 year old boy died early Monday morning in a house fire at a residence in the 300 block of West Snover Road. Sanilac County Sheriffs deputies were called to the scene about 1:10am along with Sandusky firemen. The house was occupied by a 29 year old man and 25 year old woman, along with their one year old child and 3 year old child. Three were able to get out, but the 3 year old boy was reported to be still in the house. When officers arrived the house and a car in the driveway were fully engulfed in fire. When fire personnel entered the home, they found the 3 year old child on the floor in a south west bedroom and was already dead. The Sheriff's Office Arson Investigation Team, Detective Bureau and the State Fire Marshall were requested and responded to the scene. The boy's body was taken from the home for an autopsy scheduled for later in the week. The father and the other child were taken to Hurley Medical Center in Flint for treatment. The woman was taken to McKenzie Hospital of Sandusky. The names of the subjects are not being released, due to the ongoing investigation and pending notifications. Also responding/assisting with the incident was the Moore Township Fire Department, Carsonville Fire Department, Sanilac County Sheriff's Victim's Services Unit and Sanilac County Animal Control.
