Fire destroys Paris Township shed Wednesday afternoon - details with video

Firemen from 3 departments were called to the scene of a shed fire Wednesday afternoon. Sherman Township Fire Chief Kurt Geiger told us they were called to the Bill Peruski property at 4458 East Atwater Road, west of MacDonald Road. The 20 by 30 foot hip roof style building was pretty much a total loss. It was an older building with several layers of siding that was used for storage and also had a work shop inside. The cause of the fire has not been determined, and there was no estimate of the dollar loss. Sherman Township firemen were assisted at the scene by Sigel and Bingham Township firemen, and were there about 1 1/2 hours. A passerby spotted the fire in the building and alerted the owners. A nearby building had some of the siding melt, but the structure was protected by firemen. There were no injuries.
