A total of 4 fire departments were on the scene of a fire Saturday morning. Caseville Fire Chief Ben Willenberg told us they were called to the scene on Lori Lu Drive just off of north Caseville Road. When they arrived the structure was fully involved in flames and the automatic call for Winsor Township Fire Department became a full assist, and they also had tanker assist from Fair Haven and Oliver Township Fire departments. There were no hydrants at that location. The structure was a 14 by 70 foot mobile home with structures attached in the front and back along with a garage. WIllenberg said the cause of the fire was not determined and a state fire Marshall will come Monday to look in to how it started. No one was home when the fire started. The structure was a total loss along with the contents, and was reportedly not insured,. In addition to the other fire departments, also assisting at the scene were Michigan State Police, the Huron County Sheriffs Department, Scheurer ambulance, the Huron County Road Commission to deal with icy conditions, DTE and Consumers energy to deal with electrical and natural gas issues. There were no injuries to the approximately 28 fire fighters at the scene. They were there for several hours.
