Armed Robbery Investigation in City of Saginaw- video

Michigan State Police (MSP) Saginaw Major Case Unit (MCU) detectives are investigating an armed robbery and shooting that occurred in the City of Saginaw. Just before 11:00 p.m., December 31st, investigators responded to the Family Dollar store on Genesee Street near Hess Street. Preliminary investigation indicates an 18-year-old female employee had been shot by an unknown suspect armed with a firearm. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival with an unknown amount of money. The victim was transported to a local hospital, then transferred to another hospital for treatment of serious injuries. There are no suspects in custody related to this shooting.
