Looking up and keeping track of graves in Denmark Township will soon be easier.
The township's board of trustees approved purchasing a program for $2,500 to do digital mapping of the cemetery from the California Company Semify.
It has been determined that the township's cemetery database is also missing some interments and lot sale information.
The project will have to start with an on-site certification of sites, which has been postpone until Spring because of winter.
The work will create a digital map, import records, standardizing documents, and the creation of a public website for looking up information.
The cost of developing that is $8,250 with an annual administration fee of $999.
Because of winter weather, it was the consensus of the board to ask the company to lock in the price now, but not to implement the work until in the Spring.
