Tuscola Commissioner Honors Millington Man For His Service

For a job well done, Tuscola Commissioners sent a letter to a Millington resident in recognition of his contributions to the county and his community.
"We are writing to express our appreciation for the valuable services you have provided as a member of the Tuscola County Planning Commission," said the letter sent to Lonnie Kester by commission chair Kim Vaughan.
Kester joined the county's planning commission in April 2010 and continued to serve for 14 years until his retirement. During that time, Kester served as chair for four years. Throughout his time on the commission, he remained committed despite facing health challenges, and he continued to be a valuable contributor in meetings.
Vaughan aplauded Kester's work on the short-term rental situation which was a difficult situation with heated meetings on the issue. The letter went on to note Kester was a "well-respected individual in the community, and always wishing those he met to have a blessed day."
