Unionville Hires New Village Clerk

The key action during this month's meeting of the Unionville Village Council was changing financials for the newly hired clerk.
During a special meeting in June, the council conducted interviews for a new clerk. Following that process, the council approved hiring Lucille Keipinger to replace Alexis Ortner as village clerk. As part of the process, a motion was made to have Ortner's name removed from all bank accounts and credit cards, and to have Keipinger's name added to them. During the process of hiring a new clerk, the council approved increasing the number of hours worked to 30 per week with a rate of pay of $15.76 per hour.
In other matters, the council approved some maintenance work on village property. Approval was given to pay Faber Masonry LLC $8,000 to remove and replace sections of the sidewalk on Cass Street, and for Patriot Trees LLC to grind down tree roots that damaged the sidewalks at a cost of $125 per hour.
Also, Miller Seal was hired to have the park's walking path filled in and resealed at a cost of $6,272.
