Sebewaing Resident Faces Charges for Alleged Harboring

Crystal Herbert, 35, of Sebewaing, is facing legal repercussions following an incident on April 1, 2024. Herbert has been charged with knowingly or purposefully harboring a fugitive, a charge that carries a potential penalty of up to 93 days in jail and a $500 fine.

During her arraingment, Herbert pleaded not guilty to the charges. The court has set August 14 as the deadline for any plea negotiations. The next scheduled court appearance for Herbert is on September 5 at 10:00 AM.

Herbert's bond has been set at $3,500 on personal recognizance.
