Some maintenance issues were approved by the Argyle Township Board of Trustees.
The board hired MTH Landscaping to spray the playground, and approved paying $250 to have gravel put down on the driveway to the cemetery.
It was the consensus of the board to pay the cost for any of the members to attend a Michigan Township Association (MTA) planning and zoning meeting on Aug. 14 in Frankenmuth. To go along with that, paying the annual MTA membership fee of $596 was approved.
Displaying aerial banners for special events comes with a special set of rules if the banner is over a state highway. To put a festival's aerial banner over M-19 needs to get a permit from the state first each year if it is done for an annual event. There is no cost to get a permit to do that.
During the meeting, it was reported the house on Deckerville Road East of Sheldon Road has been sold.
