On the afternoon of July 20th, a two-vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Richardson Road and Elkton Road in Oliver Township, reported at 2:01 PM.
A 19-year-old male from Pigeon, driving a 2024 Chevy Silverado, pulled out from a stop sign without seeing a southbound 2004 Pontiac Montana, driven by a 46-year-old woman from Elkton. The collision caused the Montana to spin and stop facing southwest in the intersection.
The Silverado's driver reported neck pain and was taken to Scheurer Hospital by ambulance. His 61-year-old male passenger, also from Pigeon, was uninjured but planned to seek a medical evaluation privately.
The Pontiac Montana's driver reported chest pain, and her passengers, including a 71-year-old male with shoulder pain and an 8-year-old female with stomach and neck pain, declined ambulance transport, opting to go to Scheurer Hospital by private vehicle.
The Oliver Fire Department assisted the Huron County Sheriff's Department at the scene.
