Huron County Senior Center Enhances Community Engagement

The Huron County Senior Center is a hub of activity in Bad Axe, fostering community connections and providing valuable services.
Partnering with the Bad Axe Library, the center hosts the Bookmobile every second and fourth Tuesday of the month from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM. Upcoming dates include August 13th and 27th. The Bookmobile offers a wide range of materials, including large print books and rom-coms, ensuring there's something for everyone.
In addition to the library services, the Senior Center supports the community with "The Last Food Mile" initiative. In collaboration with the Thumb Food Policy Council, this program runs every Wednesday at noon, providing food supplies on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants are encouraged to take only what they need, use what they take, and be considerate of others.
The center also offers free incontinence supplies, courtesy of Thumb Blessing Boxes. These can be picked up at 150 Nugent Rd, Bad Axe.
Every Thursday at 1 PM, the Senior Center hosts Bingo, offering another opportunity for social engagement and community support.
The Huron County Senior Center continues to be a cornerstone for seniors and other community members, providing resources, entertainment, and a welcoming environment.
