Bad Axe Teen Hospitalized After Truck Flips in Colfax Township

A 19-year-old man from Bad Axe was injured in a single-vehicle crash early on July 14th when his truck lost control and flipped onto its side.

The Huron County Sheriff's Department reported that the crash occurred around 7:01 AM on Learman Road near Verona in Colfax Township.

The teen was driving a 2011 GMC Sierra westbound when he lost control, veered off the road, and crashed into a ditch. The truck flipped onto its passenger side.

Central Huron EMS quickly arrived to treat the driver, with the Bad Axe Fire Department assisting the Sheriff's Department. He was transported to McLaren Thumb Region Hospital for further care.

The vehicle was heavily damaged and had to be towed from the scene. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
