On Friday afternoon the Huron County Bar Association awarded their annual scholarship to Sara Mecomber, a recent graduate of USA Schools, during a luncheon at the Franklin Inn in Bad Axe.

Sara, the daughter of Don and Amanda Mecomber, will attend Cleary University this fall to study business ethics, with plans to pursue law school at the University of Michigan. Throughout high school, Sara was an active student, participating in volleyball and soccer, and being involved in the National Honor Society and her church community.

Her dedication and ambition were evident in the strong letters of recommendation she received, praising her motivation and determination. These qualities, along with her academic achievements and community involvement, made Sara a perfect candidate for this prestigious scholarship. In her scholarship essay, Sara expressed her desire to "help families and children who need a voice."

The scholarship was presented to Sara by Alexander Pahany, President of the Bar Association, and Don Clark of the Scholarship Committee, during the July 12th luncheon.
