Harbor Beach Will Have Expiring Council Seats

There are three positions on the Harbor Beach City Council that are expiring and will be on the Nov. 5 election ballot.

The expiring seats are for a one, two-year term for Mayor, and two, four-year council seats. Nonpartisan nominating petitions and assurances of identity to be a candidate can be picked up at city hall at 766 State St., and they have to be returned to city hall before 4 p.m., on Tuesday, July 23.

The requirements to be a candidate are: to be at least 18 years of age, be a resident of the city, and have no debts owed to the city.
