The National Weather Service has issued a Beach Hazards Statement in effect today, July 11th, for Huron, Sanilac, and St. Clair Counties.
Today and tonight, elevated wave heights along the shores of these counties will increase beach hazard risks. Waves are expected to be as high as 3 to 6 feet, with maximum waves reaching up to 8 feet in Lake Huron.
Expect hazardous swimming conditions on Lake Huron today. Strong currents can pull swimmers into deeper water, posing significant risks.
For your safety, please remain out of the water to avoid these hazardous conditions.
