The Tuscola County Commissioners will meet at 8 a.m., this coming Thursday (July 10) at the Purdy Building at 125 West Lincoln St., Caro.

According to the preliminary agenda, commissioners are expected to approve: the purchase of three portable Motorola 6000 radios, accessories, and radio fees using a homeland security grant. The Law Enforcement Terrorism Prevention Activities group awarded the county $18,498 to purchase the radios.

According to the county's Emergency Services Manager Deputy Steve Anderson, the new radios will go to the Gagetown and Kingston police departments.

Commissioners are also expected to approve a proposed worksite agreement with Genesee, Shiawassee, Thumb (GST) Michigan Works experience program for fiscal year 2024-2025.
