A car crash at the Walmart parking lot in Bad Axe resulted in minor injuries for an elderly driver on the morning of July 5th.
At 10:27 AM, Huron Central Dispatch reported a crash involving a black Impala and a red Traverse. A 38-year-old woman from Kinde, driving the black Impala, pulled out of the Walmart parking lot when she was struck by a red Traverse.
A 72-year-old man from Walker, just outside of Grand Rapids, was driving southbound and ran into the back end of the Impala.
Emergency services quickly responded to the scene, including the Bad Axe Police Department, Bad Axe Fire Department, Central Huron and Elkton Ambulance Services, and the Huron County Sheriff's Department.
The passengers of the black Impala refused treatment and appeared to be fine. However, the 72-year-old driver of the Traverse was taken to the hospital, where he was treated and released with minor aches and pains.
