The National Weather Service in Detroit has issued a Flood Watch for Southeast Michigan, covering the counties of Huron, Lapeer, Oakland, Saginaw, Sanilac, St. Clair, Tuscola, and more.

This Flood Watch is in effect from this evening through Wednesday evening due to expected heavy rainfall.

The remnants of Tropical Storm Beryl will move into the area, bringing widespread rain tonight through much of Wednesday.

Rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible, which may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

Residents are advised to monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings.

Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action if flooding develops.
