During today's (Tuesday) Huron County meeting, commissioners took time to mention outstanding accomplishments of two students.

The Huron Intermediate School District sent students to compete in the Skills USA national competition. Two of the students placed in the top five during national competition in Atlanta, Georgia. It was reported that Jason Murawski placed first in power equipment technology in the national competition against more than 6,000 students, and that Heather Mazure placed fifth, according to District #2 Commissioner Mike Meissner.

Commissioners briefly discussed the possibility of giving the two students some official recognition.
