Fatal Rollover Crash Claims Life of Brown City Resident

A 53-year-old Brown City man was killed after being ejected in a rollover crash in St. Clair County on Monday.

St. Clair County Central Dispatch received the initial report of the crash on July 8, just before 6:00 p.m.

First responders arrived at Foley Road in Emmett Township to find the vehicle's sole occupant, 53-year-old Leonard Bennett from Brown City, had been ejected.

Despite efforts by Tri-Hospital EMS and Emmett Township Fire Rescue, Bennett succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The St. Clair County Sheriff's Office Accident Investigation Team is continuing to investigate the crash.
