Suspect Throws Drugs on Restaurant Roofs During Fort Gratiot Pursuit

Numerous people reported seeing a fleeing Detroit man throwing drugs on the roofs of Fort Gratiot restaurants last week.
On Monday, the St. Clair County Drug Task Force announced the successful arrest of Eric Talton, 29, of Detroit.
Task Force members attempted to arrest Talton at a Qdoba restaurant on July 3rd, but he fled on foot. After a brief chase, he was apprehended in front of the Texas Roadhouse.
During Wednesday's pursuit, Talton threw 18.5 grams of cocaine onto the roof of the Red Lobster and 1.8 grams of crack cocaine onto the roof of the Texas Roadhouse. Both stashes were recovered.
A search of Talton incident to arrest also led to the seizure of $1,020 in cash.
Talton was taken to the St. Clair County Detention and Intervention Center, where he faces multiple charges: Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine, Tampering with Evidence, Resisting and Obstructing, and Maintaining a Drug House.
He was given a $50,000 bond at his arraignment.
