Sanilac County Sheriff's Office July 4th Weekend Statistics

Sheriff Paul Rich reports that the Sanilac County Sheriff's Office was kept busy over the 4th of July weekend.
Sanilac County Sheriff's Deputies handled 147 complaints and made 80 traffic stops, resulting in six arrests. During these stops, deputies issued 69 verbal warnings and 17 citations. They also responded to seven crashes, none of which resulted in serious injuries.
Sanilac County Correction's Deputies booked subjects into the jail from arrests made by deputies and other police agencies throughout the county and the court.
The Marine Division patrolled the Lake Huron waterways in Port Sanilac and Lexington Harbors, conducting safety inspections. Fortunately, no water-related injuries or major incidents were reported.
Additionally, the Sheriff's Office Volunteer AERO Squadron conducted safety patrols from the air along the shores of Lake Huron.
