A 60-year-old Sandusky man disregarded a stop sign, causing a crash in Custer Township on Tuesday.
On July 2nd at approximately 5:19 p.m., Sanilac County Central Dispatch received a call reporting a personal injury two-vehicle traffic crash at the intersection of Gates Rd and Eddy Rd. Sanilac County Deputies, along with Sanilac EMS, were dispatched to the scene.
The Sheriff's Deputies' initial investigation revealed that a 2010 Ford Ranger pick-up truck driven by the Sandusky man was traveling westbound on Eddy Rd when he disregarded the stop sign at the intersection with Gates Rd. The Ford Ranger collided with a southbound 2023 Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 42-year-old female from Sandusky.
The 60-year-old male from Sandusky was transported by Sanilac EMS to McKenzie Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Alcohol was not a factor in this crash.
