Boosting Road Safety: Michigan's Operation Safe Driver Week Begins

The Michigan State Police Officers' Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division is ramping up efforts for the annual Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) Operation Safe Driver Week. This initiative focuses on heightented traffic safety enforcement, particularly for commercial vehicles.
Officers will conduct inspections requiring drivers to provide operating credentials and hours of service documentation to ensure compliance with safety regulations. In addition to cheching documentaion, officers will be on high alert for driver behavior violations that significantly contrubute to vehicle accidents. These behavior sinclude speeding, following too closely, impoper lane changes, and using cellular divices while driving. By addresing these risky actions, the initiative aims to reduce the incidence of accidtnes involving commercal vehicles and improve overall road safety.
Operation Safe Driver Week highlights the importance of safe driving. All drivers are urged to drive safely and responsibly to avoid any collisions.
