A 46-year-old Huron County man, Jeremy J. Majeski, was arraigned in the 52nd Circuit Court on Monday for charges including child sexually abusive activity, possession of child sexually abusive material, and using a computer to commit a crime. The court entered not guilty pleas on his behalf after he stood mute.
Majeski was arrested on May 22nd following an MSP investigation that seized digital evidence from his home in Filion. The ICAC Task Force initiated the probe after discovering Majeski viewing child sexually abusive material online. The Bad Axe Police Department and the Huron County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the operation.
Judge Gerald M. Prill granted a 90-day adjournment for the pretrial hearing, now set for September 30th, 2024, at 10 AM. Bond remains at $20,000 with a 10% requirement.
The MSP Computer Crimes Unit urges parents to discuss internet safety with their children. Resources such as the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children's website,
missingkids.org, offer valuable assistance in keeping kids safe online.
