TWO-VEHICLE CRASH IN SAND BEACH TOWNSHIP

The Huron County Sheriff's Office investigated a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning, September 8th, in Sand Beach Township. According to the traffic crash report, the collision happened at approximately 7:50 a.m. on Sand Beach Road near Ubly. Conditions were listed as cloudy, with daylight and a dry roadway at the time.
Investigators say a 2015 white Buick Regal was slowing to make a left turn when it was struck from behind by a 2015 silver Dodge Journey. Both vehicles were traveling westbound before the collision. The report indicates both drivers were wearing shoulder-and-lap belts, and neither vehicle's airbags deployed. The Buick sustained disabling damage, while the Dodge had minor damage.
The crash report lists a possible injury for the driver of the Buick. Central Huron Ambulance assisted at the scene along with the Bad Axe Fire Department. No passengers were listed in either vehicle, and the report does not indicate either driver was trapped.
