Tuscola Commissioners to Meet Thursday April 30

The Tuscola County Board of Commissioners will meet at 8 a.m. Thursday, April 30 in the Purdy building at 125 West Lincoln Street, Caro.
According to the preliminary agenda, there will be a presentation on the Health and Human Services (MDHHS) for Huron, Tuscola, and Lapeer counties over the last year done by Director Karen Southgate.
The presentation will also be an opportunity for Southgate to say goodbye as she retires and to introduce Krista Mackowiak who will replace her.
Also during the meeting, mosquito abatement Director Larry Zapfe is scheduled to present his department's annual report, and commissioners are expected to pass a resolution regarding how the county handles sanitary sewer differently than the state standard.
