Huron Awarded a Grant for Scheurer Critical Mapping Project

Scheurer Hospital's expansion received an economic boost from a grant.

The Huron County Emergency Services Director Randy Miller applied for and was awarded a Michigan Public Safety Critical Incident Mapping Competitive Grant for $12,536.

The money will be used to complete the Scheurer Hospital Critical Infrastructure Safety Mapping project.

The grant requires a 50 percent match of $6,268 when the work starts.

During the last county meeting, commissioners approved the emergency services director to sign to accept the grant.

Scheurer operates medical facilities in Bad Axe, Caseville, Elkton, Pigeon, and Sebewaing.
