Tuscola County Renews Contract For Security At Purdy Building

Tuscola County renewed and approved a short-term contract with JCL Protection Security for a "Lobby Ambassador" at the Purdy building at 125 West Lincoln St., Caro.

The agreement is from Feb. 1, 2026 through September 30, 2026 with an extension of Sept. 30, 2026, through Dec. 31, 2027.

The current cost for security coverage is $1,912 per week.

The cost for the extended security coverage increases to $2,025 per week.

Security is at the building for eight hours a day Monday to Friday.

The county added security at the Purdy building after some threats were made two years ago.
