Lapeer is Making Plans to Celebrate America's 250 Birthday

The Lapeer City Commission is among those communities that are making plans to celebrate America's milestone 250 anniversary.

There will be a Lapeer America 250 Committee meeting at 3:30 p.m., Monday (April 27) in the boardroom at the Lapeer Community Center on Saginaw Street.

So far the committee has approved installing two 30-foot flagpoles. The plan is to install one in the downtown area and the other is to be installed at the Millville Road and Davison Road area.

The meeting is open to the public.
