Essexville Man Critically Injured In Bay City Shooting

Bay City police are investigating a Wednesday evening shooting that left an Essexville man in critical condition outside a Center Avenue apartment building.

Officers responded to the 1000 block of Center Avenue, just east of downtown, where they found the 39 year old victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

He was first taken to McLaren Bay Region before being transferred to Hurley Medical Center in Flint for specialized care.

Witnesses told investigators that two unidentified men were seen running from the area and leaving in a black SUV.

Authorities have not disclosed a possible motive.
