Sentencing For Former State Theatre Director Rescheduled

The sentencing of former State Theatre Director Mike Bacigalupo has been postponed until February 23rd, according to federal court records.

Bacigalupo had been scheduled for sentencing on January 29th following his guilty plea to a federal wire fraud charge connected to financial misconduct involving the State Theatre, the Bay City Historical Society, and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.

Prosecutors said the scheme involved misuse of funds related to the Wenonah Park Band Shell renovation project.

The wire fraud conviction carries a potential prison sentence of up to 20 years.
