Vassar Woman Appointed to State Agriculture Board

Carla Schultz, who is the Wheat Flour Sales Executive at Star of the West, was appointed to the Michigan Wheat Program Board of Directors by Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
She was appointed to represent District 5 growers through May 2029.
Schultz is a Tuscola County Farm Bureau member from Mayville, who is the owner of Eight Plates Farm.
She is also the wheat flour sales executive at Star of the West Milling Company.
Schultz has a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education from Martin Luther College.
She brings a wealth of experience from across Michigan agriculture to her appointment.
The Michigan Wheat Promotion Committee seeks to promote the production and consumption of wheat grown in Michigan and assists in the agricultural research and development of wheat products.
