There Were Some Staffing Changes Approved at Laker Schools

Several staffing changes were approved by the Laker School District's Board of Education Monday night.
Resignation letters were accepted from intervention paraprofessional Tracey Gnash and from food service employee Michelle Englehart.
With that done, the board approved hiring Mackenzie Graves as a full-time special education paraprofessional.
She had been working at the Discovery Daycare Center with many of our students, explained Superintendent Jill VerBurg.
Nickol Shetler was hired as a part-time intervention paraprofessional at the elementary school.
Shannon Brown was hired as a part-time intervention paraprofessional.
During the meeting, the board recognized secondary guidance counselor Jeff Etzel who retired at the end of the last school year after 26 years with the district.
