Millington Mural Receives Financial boost

Several communities throughout the Thumb have joined in having murals painted on the side of buildings, but having that done comes at a cost.
The Millington Lions Club proudly presents a check for $1,000 to Cindy Wilson of the Millington Historical Society to assist with the funding of the Millington Mural.
Local artist Jeff Bolzman has been commissioned to recreate scenes of local history on the south side of the RC Racing building.
The mural depicts the early days when the village of Millington was in its infancy and the eras since then.
Some of the images in the mural show the community's pre-settlement days when there were American Indians.
The mural also shows the community during the logging age, farming, churches, stockyards, and the first steam powered threshing machine in the township.
Bolzman sketched out the images and is in the process of filling them with color.
