City of Vassar Finally Hires a City Manager

After operating for nearly two years with an interim manager, the Vassar City Council finally officially hired a manager.

The council selected the city's police Chief Ben Guile as the manager. He will now get to hang up the dark uniform he has wore for several years to business attire.

From 2024 when then manager Andrew Niedzins resigned, Guile served as both police chief and interim manager.

He was given a three-year contract with a $100,000 salary as city manager.
